New York is sad

This is the perfect demonstration of everything that's wrong with New York City.

An "indoor drive-in."

That photo is just so pathetic.

A car stuffed into a room barely big enough to hold it, on an Astroturf mat, overlooked by a single fake tree.

$75 admission price.

I have a theory that this thing was created by people whose intention was just to make fun of New York City. "We put a car in a bathroom stall and charged people $75 to sit in it -- and they did!"

UPDATE 9/22: Jen has brought it to my attention that it is not a fake tree, but a pathetic, spindly real tree, chopped down and screwed into a base, Christmas-tree style. That's somehow even worse.

Also, please note that all the screenings are SOLD OUT.

New Yorkers, you're ridiculous.

Yeah.. that's pretty sick and twisted. I feel there must be a team on villains.. long-wasted away old men with coily white hair and toothy wild grimaces plotting things like this to up banality.

"A fake tree that looks real, Ulysses?"

"NO! *hiss* Get real weak little trees, kill them and kack off a few branches just because - then screw em into a plastic pot! Rawhawhaw!"

I bet if they did an indoor drive-in in Japan they'd get it right.

You've been missed.

I've been called crazy when I've mentioned that I don't care if I ever see NYC. I sort of hope I don't.
