My body's talking to me; it says "time for danger"

I have valiantly avoided seeing "RENT" in any of my nearly five (sweet Christ) years in the city. (I have not, however, avoided a party at the fabulous apartment of original theatrical castmember Daphne Rubin-Vega, because that is how I roll. That's another story though.)

Just before the (reportedly abysmal) movie came out, I was subjected to a "sneak preview" of part of a scene from the movie on VH1 -- the scene where Rosario Dawson sings "Out Tonight."

Well, thanks a shitload, Chris Columbus, because Miss Dawson's voice and ass compelled me to buy that song on iTunes.

That's the only 99 cents you'll get from me though.

I swear it.

I have no idea what it is about musicals. I was very resistant to see Chicago, movie and stage show. One day when nothing else was on TV, I watched the movie. I didn't think it was that bad. Dare, I say...I liked it.
Now, I am kind of thinking the it's probably better to see as a stage show. Ah! The paradox!
