!

From the entry on gyroscopes at howstuffworks.com:

Gyroscopes "move in peculiar ways and even seem to defy gravity. These special properties make gyroscopes extremely important in everything from your bicycle to the advanced navigation system on the space shuttle. A typical airplane uses about a dozen gyroscopes in everything from its compass to its autopilot. The Russian Mir space station used 11 gyroscopes to keep its orientation to the sun, and the Hubble Space Telescope has a batch of navigational gyros as well. Gyroscopic effects are also central to things like yo-yos and Frisbees!"

Note that terminal exclamation point. Someone at howstuffworks.com is very enthusiastic about the gyroscopic effects in yo-yos and Frisbees. The Mir space station and Hubble Space Telescope are fine and dandy, as is the entire institution of modern aeronautics, but here's something that's really going to impress you: yo-yos and Frisbees. Why aren't you excited? Let me say it this way: Yo-yos and Frisbees! Yeah! I exclaimed that! Are you excited now? You should be! Frisbees!

I think the exclamation point is there because someone snuck up and tried to strangle the science writer right at the word Frisbees.

Perhaps they meant to type (c) instead of ! since Frisbee is a brand name. That would be cool!
