Met the very funny Yonda and Sloan tonight, in NYC for the New York Television Festival. They are about 30 seconds away from being very huge. I was happy to buy drinks for them while I could still afford their tastes.
I listened to "Can't You See," by the Marshall Tucker Band, at least 30 times tonight.
The iTunes Music Store is very dangerous for me. Instant gratification and it doesn't feel like I'm spending real money. But I am.
Albums I have bought on the iTunes Music Store, and degree to which I regret their purchase, rated between one and five bullets I deserve shot at me:
"The Marshall Tucker Band," The Marshall Tucker Band (one bullet, agreeable enough album, if unremarkable)
"Airwaves," Badfinger (four bullets, horrible)
"Enema of the State," Blink 182 (already own this on CD -- paid $10 rather than dig up CD -- believe this level of decadence destroyed Rome -- five bullets and kick in nads)
"Looking for Lucky," Hootie and the Blowfish (wait, no -- it was probably shittily lovable music like this that destroyed Rome -- three bullets)
Eugene's comedy album (friend, could probably have gotten for free, just including this to make self feel cool -- one bullet, supported friend with cash, did I mention he is a friend?)

I love the idea of quantifying regret.

Oh Tony, why can't you just steal CDs from a friend and then contemplate buying the real CD at a later date just like everyone else?
I will light a small candle for you at the biggest religious place here: the Church of Scientology International Celebrity Center (right across from UCB Theatre).
