TWO UPDATES IN ONE NIGHT!
Hey, just popping back in for three quick tidbits, prefaced by Mad magazine-style puns.
WISTFUL THINKING DEPT.:
How did I not hear about the "Little Gray Book" series until just now? Maybe I did hear about it and mentally shelved it for reasons inexplicable. I wish I were part of such a community of brilliance. At the risk of public stoning: the improv scene doesn't qualify; sorry.
KEEPING UP APPEARANCES DEPT.:
I'll be dishing up love advice with my delightful, energetic friend Becky Yamamoto at my other friends' (Stan, Rachel, Chris) show "Ash Wednesday," predictably enough this Wednesday at the Parkside Lounge at 7pm. The rest of the lineup looks very good. And it's free. This is for real, not some ironic hipster thing. We're unqualified but earnest. Come on over and ask some love questions!
CELEBRITY SLIGHTINGS DEPT.:
I forgot the best one of all in my last post -- at Lombardi's last Thursday, the post-VU crowd shared the rank, bathroom-stinking basement room with none other than guitarless British band Keane and entourage of sylphlike Eurogals. We closed out the place, but not before our own entourage of sylphlike Eurogals got into a scratch-fight with theirs. It wasn't pretty. Well, actually, it was pretty.
Next update in 17 minutes!

tony, are you one of the people creating all that obnoxious non-music-video content on vh1? that addictive i-love-the-[insert decade here]? meaningless contentless tripe about paris hilton?
ok now that i've dissed your job, can i ask you if you have any dirt on the surreal life cast? i used to watch [who am i kidding--still do watch] america's next top model and so i checked out the surreal life this season that featured a.n.t.m. winner adrianne curry and chyna and the midget... and it was enthralling tv viewing. if you were somehow involved i will have to make a pilgrimage to williamsburg or whatever hamlet of hipper-than-thou-pretentiousness you now call home and kiss your immaculately manicured feet (oops did i give that secret away?).
seriously, i want dirt on crazy celebs. also, mo rocca and hal sparks. mmmhmm.

p.s. great job with the lindsay lohan ep of 'driven'! and also that reuniting the band show. saw the 'buggles' ep and it was great tv fun.
