two annoying things

Last night, after I performed at Terry Jinn's The Project, some guy said, "Hey, you were really funny. And, also, do you know if Eric Slovin is here? He was here last night."

Dude, it's a 50-seat theatre, not the Mall of America. If Eric Slovin were here, he'd be easy to find -- just look for the mob of guys like you trying to get some facetime with Eric Slovin. Eric Slovin will be in the center of that mob.

Totally different thing: many people can't seem to bring themselves to call Channel 102 shows "television shows" or "tv pilots." They have to call them "short films."

It's called "Channel 102." Like a TV channel. We reject things that are not television-show-like in structure and content. What's the problem, people? Is it the fact that none of these things are actually on the real television in your living room that you watch "America's Next Top Model" on? Yeah, well, you know what? None of them were shot on film, either. I bet I just blew your mind! Now you're not going to be able to use ANY words to refer to these things! You'll have to use a combination of semaphore and piglike grunts!
